The 1.8 and 2.0 TSI EA888.3 engines fitted to the Golf 7 GTI /R, Leon 3 Cupra or S3 8V, among others, have a special gasket which ensures a tight seal between the block and the oil filter housing. It is strongly recommended to replace this gasket, which is subject to contact with hydrocarbons, when the oil filter housing is removed or every two oil changes.
